framework and most often appears as colourless

or white hexagonal prisms.

It is often coloured by impuritieswhich

gives quartz a wide variety of colours.

Structured, cellular, crystalline in nature,

Quartz is the second most abundant

mineral in Earth’s continentalcrust.

​

It displays different colors depending

on the lighting and impurities.
